Late last week, I fell down a rabbit hole. It was my second time.
No, my name is not Alice.
The rabbit hole was Urbit. The first rabbit hole was cryptocurrencies. Rarely do I see something that has the potential to change the world for the better and when I do, I generally jump in completely. Decentralisation has the potential to bring back to us control over our identities, our finances and so much more.
I began with cryptocurrencies in 2016, I began with Urbit only days ago. As I read more and explore Urbit, I see the space where these things converge – having control over our value and identity in the same interface. I have begun to imagine Urbit as the space in which our social and financial futures can flourish online.
