They are gone – destructive bastards.
Rising water,
Their terror,
Fighting for strips of land.
Killing each other off in final attempts to stay afloat.
Suffocated them in my velvet blue.
Free of them!

Free to breath again,
Free of their constant scratching,
Free of their castles of sand.
Peace, silence.

Life can continue,
Developing in diversity,
Now these beasts are gone.
Dead at their own hands,
With just help from me.

We are free of them.
